My Blog is finally up and I cant wait to share my exitement about my new Spot Rouge 58.
I was trying to open up a Gallery/Salon last year March in Munich (thats where i come from) but then I realised I wanted to come and live and work in NY all my life literally overnight I made the decision to come to NY for 3 months so I bought a ticket and came here last year in June to check it out. On the first day I knew I was not going to leave. I applied for an Artist Visa which was a pain in the ass but 8 months after I got it stamped in my Passport, I couldnt believe I had it.
The Idea of doing a Gallery was very natural I grew up with both my Granparents who were Artists and Currators and my Dad who is a musician and an abstract painter.
So earlier this year in May I was walking up Metropolitan Avenue in Brooklyn with my friend Chris Reed after Brunch and we were talking about that I wanna open up my Gallery and it should be in Williamsburg as he pointed over and we saw this Spot for Rent I called the number on the sign and 7 weeks after I signed the contract. I must say it was very fast but I was ready to finally live my dream and open up my spot.

After 5 weeks of swallowing Dust having bruises and cuts everywhere and my back hurt like a old lady, ROUGE 58 was born. The concept is basically having rotating artists every month and me cutting Hair ocassionally. I cant wait for many more exhibitions and Fun
